About Me

I enjoy working with adolescents and adults
experiencing difficulties with life transitions,
neurodivergence, depression, and anxiety who
want to learn how to discover more about
themselves and how to adapt their world to fit
their needs.

I have experience working with clients of all
backgrounds and mental health concerns. For
those experiencing maladaptive coping skills,
self-esteem issues, and stress, I find myself
most effective using tools like cognitive
behavioral therapy, solution-focused brief
therapy, person-centered, and mindfulness-
based interventions.

Taking the first step towards getting help can
be a huge challenge. I hope I can help provide
a safe and grounding space for you to share
and achieve the growth you desire!

More about me

I enjoy spending time in nature,
particularly by the river. I love reading,
dancing, music, my 3 cats, all things crafty
and/or DIY, Lord of the Rings (fantasy
novels/movies in general), renaissance
fares, paddle boarding, and spending time
with my fiancé, family, and friends.

In my free time you’ll probably find me
dancing with hoops or reading a book by
the river. If I’m not there, I might be at
home cuddling with my 3 cats and
watching Lord of the Rings. A few times a
year you may find me traveling for music
festivals to see my favorite artists and
reunite with my friends from all over the
country.

FAQs

What to Expect in the First Session?

At our first session, I will gather information about
your biological, psychological, and social history,
and get a sense of your presenting problem. 80% of
therapeutic success is based on therapeutic
rapport, so you feeling connected to me is a
critical part of selecting a therapist that’s a good fit
for you.

Does Counseling Work?

The research shows that counseling can be
effective in decreasing negative mental health
outcomes, and increasing resiliency and positive
coping skills. Much of your success in counseling
will be based on your readiness, and willingness to
grow, and implement changes in your life.

What is the Length of Treatment?

A typical therapy session is 53 minutes. The total amount
of sessions you have will be based on your current needs,
and your progress. I am a firm believer that you are in the
drivers seat in counseling, so you will be able to determine
how many sessions you need. You may terminate
treatment at any time.

What if I Need to Cancel?

You may cancel your appointment. My policy is that a
minimum of 48 hours notice must be given in order to
avoid a cancellation fee. Cancellation fees will be the same
as your regular session fee if you were a cash pay patient.
